The Dark is Rising sequence of books gave rise to a film with the same name but not the intricate plot and definitely not all the details. The book is so much better, a feast compared to a poor man's supper.

There's treasure and there is evil lurking for Will Stanton and his three brothers and sisters. Time is rushing headlong to a new era. Will that be an era in the light or a dark period. Could this be a true story? It all seems so real, this is definitely fantasy fiction isn't it?
